THE OLD FIRE STATION CAFE
Ironically paths and roads of the past somehow align in the right place at the right time. This is a place where synchronicity falls into line and suddenly all the dots join up. Here there are no more alarm bells, no more uniforms, no more centre fold 'pin ups' and no more feelings of apprehension. These have been replaced by the finer things in life - fine food, good booze, quality art works and undertones of live and local music.
Customers, of The Old Fire Station are met with a versatile space abundant with characters and charisma. During the week days proprietor and ex-music teacher and performer, John Lacorcia, will greet most people by name as they enter a large space where one easily feels comfortable.
On the weekends, it's a bit of a different story, local popularity and others visiting the markets and surrounds make the retro Old Fire Station a destination for myriad of reasons. Breakfasts are sensational and great value - vegetarian options are available and lunches include the 'good old favourites'. If you're a sweet tooth, you are in a good place!
The gallery launches a new art exhibition on the first Friday of every month with quality live music every Friday night.
Bookings for functions and parties are available and utilization of the large outside courtyard gives another dimension for the experience.
